For pieces up to 2,000 words long:

- $2 a word with a 1-2-day turnaround time – includes one round of feedback and revision.
Developmental Editing:
Developmental editing focuses on the overall focus of your reported story, essay, or editorial, how well you back up your claims and make your case, and how the themes and ideas flow to make a coherent whole. Developmental edits will include highlights of problem areas and an outline of suggestions for future drafts.
- $100 per 1,000 words (pro-rated and rounded up to 50 words)
Content Editing:
Content editing is a line-by-line focus on the more detailed aspects of writing and sentence structure. A good editor helps streamline rough copy into a beautifully written finished piece with suggestions for word choice, corrections to sentence and paragraph construction, the use of metaphors and analogies, and an eye toward avoiding cliches and repetition. Content editing is crucial before submitting your work to a publisher, literary magazine, or professor.
- $150.00 per 1,000 words (pro-rated and rounded up to 50 words)

FICTION
My first novel, Queen of Aarohi is forthcoming from Red Hen Press in 2027. As an experienced writer, fiction came easily to me and since 2024 I’ve written two full-length novels, 2 short stories, and 1 personal essay.
Developmental Editing:
Developmental editing for fiction focuses on the overall story you are trying to tell, including world-building, character development, clarity, plot structure, pacing, and many other aspects of writing. Developmental edits will include highlights of problem areas and a detailed outline of suggestions for future drafts. Includes a 2-3 page in-depth write-up.
